Pre-order only: This Matcha Chawan is an ode to the rawness left behind after eruption, both in earth and in self. Thrown from deep black clay and high-fired to 1280°C, the bowl and cup bear a porous, crusted texture that recalls dried lava: sharp, fragmented, and unmoved.
Above this surface, a smooth charcoal glaze offers contrast; cool to the touch, but shaped by intense heat.
